Your prospect stays open when you log off.

An Icarus server holds one prospect and keeps it open while your crew drops in and out. Nobody has to stay logged in as host. Pick 6 GB for a crew of 4 or 10 GB for the full 8 on an open-world map. Online in under 3 minutes.

Everything a Icarus server needs. Nothing to add on.

Room for the full crew

Oxite is sized for 4, Exotic for the full 8: recommendations, not caps we enforce.

Online in under 3 minutes

Checkout to a running server, automatically. Set your passwords and it is on the Dedicated Servers tab.

ServerSettings.ini, yours

Join password, admin password, who may launch prospects, and whether the last one resumes.

Every prospect recoverable

Prospect saves are one JSON file each; a backup schedule keeps all of them and your characters.

Live console and SFTP

Watch the log, restart after the Wednesday patch, and reach every file from your own client.

No noisy neighbors

Storms spike CPU. Your node stops taking servers at 60% load; the cap and the policy are published on Receipts.

99.9%, credit-backed

If the network misses it, the credit is issued without you asking.

Engineers who answer

Tickets go to the people who run the nodes, not to a script.

Why the hardware matters for Icarus

Icarus spikes when the weather turns. A storm rolls in, the base takes damage, and every player on the map is loading the same terrain. Your server runs on AMD EPYC 4565P at 4.5 GHz, on a node we stop filling at 60% load. A storm should be the only thing spiking your CPU.

Memory is sized to the crew: 6 GB on Oxite for 4, 10 GB on Exotic for 8. Prospect saves and characters sit on NVMe storage. The clock and the cap are published on Receipts, with the benchmark run behind them.
Game Panel file manager

Your rules, your files

Stop the server, edit ServerSettings.ini in the file manager, restart. Join and admin passwords, MaxPlayers, who may launch prospects, and ResumeProspect are yours. The common values are on the Startup tab too. Icarus patches every Wednesday, so restart from the Game Panel afterwards to fetch the matching build.

Prospects are one JSON file each, and characters live server-side. A nightly backup schedule keeps every mission and every character recoverable. The Game Panel console streams the log live, and SFTP gives you the whole tree from your own client.

Straight Answers, before you ask.

3 guides from the knowledge base, written by the engineers on shift.

Questions people ask first.

About running Icarus here.

Explore the knowledge base or open a ticket in the Console. An engineer answers.

Is "8 players" a cap?
No. Exotic on 10 GB is sized for a full crew of 8, the most Icarus lets into one prospect. Oxite on 6 GB suits 4. Outgrow one and you upgrade without losing the prospect.
Can I run mods?
Icarus has no official mod support, so we do not claim it. ServerSettings.ini holds what you can change: passwords, MaxPlayers, who may launch or delete prospects, whether the last one resumes.
How fast is it online?
Under 3 minutes from checkout. Open the Game Panel from the Console and set the join and admin passwords in ServerSettings.ini. Then find the server on the Dedicated Servers tab in game.
Can I change the prospect or the settings later?
Yes. Stop the server, edit ServerSettings.ini in the file manager, restart; the common values are also on the Startup tab. Prospects are launched in game, one at a time, and ResumeProspect=True reloads the last one after a restart.
Can I upgrade later without losing my prospects?
Yes. In the Console, open the service, choose Upgrade/Downgrade, and pay the prorated difference for the rest of the cycle. The new size applies after a restart; your prospects and characters come with it.
What about refunds, and where does it run?
New servers carry the 30-day money-back guarantee: cancel in the Console within 30 days for a full refund. After that, refunds are prorated at our discretion and requested within 72 hours of a charge. Seattle, on racks we own, built for Pacific Northwest latency; route published on the datacenter page.
Drop in when you are ready. The prospect will be waiting.

Online in under 3 minutes, and it stays up after the last of you logs off.
